PepsiCo Opens New Warehouse in Lisbon
PepsiCo Beverages North America has opened a brand new 150,000-square-foot warehouse at N63W22358 Richard Road in the Lisbon Business Park East. The new warehouse employs 260+ people, according to a company press release.
“Milwaukee has been home to PepsiCo and hundreds of our talented employees for decades, and we are pleased to build on that history by investing in this state-of-the-art Lisbon facility to serve even more neighbors,” said Neil Pryor, Central Division President of PepsiCo Beverages North America. “We deeply appreciate our local partners and team members who make Milwaukee a vibrant community in which we are proud to grow.”
The new warehouse was built to meet greater demand in Waukesha, Washington, Ozaukee and Milwaukee counties. It was built for maximum efficiency with 95 percent new equipment, including tractors, trailers, pallet jacks and forklifts equipped with the latest safety features and more energy efficiency.
According to the press release, “The warehouse also features the company’s Geo Box delivery system, which replaces traditional bay delivery trucks with specially designed trailers that are pre-loaded at the warehouse to deliver the right quantity and assortment of beverages to local retail customers in a more efficient and timely manner, which also reduces the number of vehicles, miles driven and, ultimately, fuel used.”
In 2022, PepsiCo spent more than $4.8 million with Wisconsin suppliers, and its foundation invested $750,000 in local charitable organizations, including a grant to La Casa de Esperanza in Waukesha. The company is a big supporter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation and has invested $500,000 in the Milwaukee Area Technical College Foundation to provide $2,000 scholarships to 160 students.
PepsiCo has had a presence in the region for 60 years and currently employs 2,200 people across the state of Wisconsin. The company’s brands include Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Aquafina, Lipton, Starbucks, Rockstar, Celsius, Tropicana and Naked Juice.
