Nominate a Military Family for Free Holiday Decorating

Do you know an active duty, reservist or retired military family that might appreciate having their home professionally decorated for the holiday season? Nominate them by October 31 and you could make it happen for them.
Swimming Pool Services, Inc., of Waukesha has a franchise affiliation with Christmas Décor, which enables them to switch gears and keep their team busy in the winter months when the swimming season is over. Their holiday decorating packages are valued from $1,250 – $4,200 and include both installing and removing the decorations for those who would rather not climb ladders or untangle lights. This is the 11th year they have run the Decorated Family Program to benefit local veterans and their families in Waukesha, Milwaukee, Washington and Ozaukee Counties to kick off the decorating season.
David Thompson, Chief Executive Officer of Swimming Pool Services said, “The Decorated Family program was created to thank military families of soldiers serving, or who have served, for their dedication and support for our nation. We show our thanks by providing holiday lights decorating to selected families, free of charge.”
Nominations can be made online, or e-mailed to [email protected]. All you need to do is complete a form including:
- The nominator’s name and contact information
- Name and address of the military family being nominated
- Description (up to 500 words) of why the family should be a “Christmas Decor Decorated Family”
The recipients selected for this program will be announced on Veterans Day, Nov. 11. There will be a design consultation with the selected families and the holiday decorations will be installed when it is convenient for the families.
