The former home of the Seven Seas is about to reopen as The Commodore – A Bartolotta Restaurant, and the company is now hiring about 100 hourly employees to serve its guests at the newly renovated property at 1807 Nagawicka Road on Nagawicka Lake in Delafield.

The Commodore is hosting two job fairs to hire dozens of servers, cooks, bartenders, hosts, dishwashers, and others to serve both the restaurant and special events, such as weddings and galas that are now being booked for 2024 and beyond. Both job fairs will be held at Rustic Manor 1848, located at 3115 WI-83 in Hartland. They will be held from 2 pm – 5 pm on March 26 and April 4. Interested candidates are asked to apply online at bartolottas.com/careers prior to the job fairs.

The Bartolotta Restaurants Owner and Co-Founder Chef Paul Bartolotta said, “Throughout our thirty-year history, we have always looked for team members who possess a ‘hospitality heart.’ They are the face of our company, the first impression that our guests have when they walk through our doors. We are seeking to build a team of people who have a genuine love of hospitality and taking care of others.”

Although company representatives would not reveal the date when The Commodore will open, marketing efforts are ramping up in addition to hiring, indicating that it will likely be in the next several weeks.

“The Commodore – A Bartolotta Restaurant will be a one-of-a-kind dining and events destination. We can’t wait to share what we have created with the world, and we look forward to seeing our new Bartolotta Restaurants team members bring The Commodore – A Bartolotta Restaurant to life,” said Bartolotta.

The property includes a fine dining restaurant, catering and events spaces, and multiple outdoor spaces, all with majestic lake views. The company provided several renderings of what the property will look like when they reveal it to the public, indicating a substantial amount of renovation has occurred since The Bartolotta Restaurants acquired it in August of 2022.

The company’s branding of the property leans into the property’s history since it was first opened in 1902 as the Pleasant View Hotel and Resort. For example, the Pleasant View Pavilion is an outdoor event space named for the original resort, and the Grand Heritage Ballroom harkens back to the property’s name in the 1970s, “Heritage on the Lake & Spirit of ’76 Resort & Disco.”
